Edimax's ES-5824PH switch is a superb choice for boosting your medium to large network's performance and efficiency. The 24-port 10M/100M with 24-port PSE/PoE rack-mount PoE Web Smart Fast Ethernet Switch is designed to seriously strengthen the network connection of your network environment. The 19" switch (including rack-mount brackets) will fit neatly into your existing rack environment.
Complies with IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports
Edimax's ES-5824PH features 24 IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports that supply up to 15.4 watts of electricity per port. It can convert standard 90~260V/AC power into low-voltage DC that runs over existing LAN cables to supply power to IEEE 802.3af compliant network accessories. The Edimax ES-5824PH features PoE device detection to verify whether individual, connected devices are IEEE 802.3af compliant or not, so only data will be sent via the LAN cable if the device is not a PoE or PE device. Various PoE products such as Access Points, IP cameras or IP phones are easily connected to the switch, making it the perfect solution when power outlets are difficult to install or existing power outlets are too far from devices.
No Special Networking Cable Required
Reduce your installation time and cost by using a standard Cat-5 Ethernet cable to link between the Edimax ES-5824PH switch and powered devices (PE). The Ethernet cable will then transmit both data and power, so you won't need all those extra power cables to your powered devices (PE).
Supports Smart Features
Edimax's ES-5824PH Web smart features put you in control of your network and offers extra protection on the network edge. It can be managed through a Web Browser and smart features include everything from simple QoS/CoS applications and basic monitoring tools to improve network efficiency, to a remote access password-protected configuration interface for the IT manager's mobility and IGMP snooping to reduce broadcast traffic from streaming and other bandwidth intensive IP applications. The ES-5824PH also supports bandwidth control and port based VLAN, so an administrator can set up VLANs to segregate traffic, QoS to prioritize mission-critical data and link aggregation to create fat traffic pipelines.
Supports Auto-MDI/MDI-X
Each port of the Edimax ES-5824PH automatically detects the type of cable connecting to it, so there's no need to choose crossover or parallel cables when you connect it to another switch or computer.
Supports Auto-Negotiation
Each port of the Edimax ES-5824PH automatically distinguishes whether connected network devices are running at 10Mbps, 100Mbps and Half or Full-Duplex mode, and then adjusts the speed and mode accordingly.
Supports Non-Blocking wire speed
The Edimax ES-5824PH switch allows you to run a high speed network smoothly by receiving and forwarding traffic seamlessly with its non-blocking wire-speed. Each port of the ES-5824PH can run at up to 200Mbps in full-duplex mode, and they can do so simultaneously, providing full wire speed to all devices connected.
