The Broadcom 5719 Quad-Port Gigabit NIC from Dell is a reliable, high-performance, energy-efficient 1GbE connectivity solution. It features quad triple-speed IEEE 802.3-compliant Media Access Controllers (MACs) with quad 10/100/1000 Ethernet transceivers (PHYs), selectable individually per port, a Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI), and on-chip memory buffer in a single device. This card is based on the Broadcom BCM5719 Controller. The adapter utilizes Broadcom's quad-port BCM5719 integrated controller to deliver lower power consumption and Energy Efficient Ethernet TM (EEE), reducing IT operation costs.
